Gorilla small diameter lug nuts combine beastly strength you can rely on—with some of the industry's most attractive finishes. The lugs are designed to fit all tuner wheels or any wheels that require a small diameter nut. Their closed-end bulge design prevents rust and corrosion problems, produces better torque, and prevents breakage. Gorilla steel lug nuts are heat-treated, and available in a wide array of chrome and anodized color choices. Select the thread size you need, and order individually or in larger quantities. You'll go wild for the great looks and performance of Gorilla small diameter lug nuts
If you're planning on putting new aluminum wheels under an older vehicle, especially from the early 70's or older, wheel stud length can be an issue. These older cars usually have shorter wheel studs because they only came with thin steel wheels. For safety, the thread engagement of a wheel stud into the lug nut must be equal to at least the diameter of the stud. So, a 7/16-20 stud would need 7/16 in. engagement, or about 9 full turns of the lug nut; a 1/2-20 stud would need 1/2 in. engagement, or 10 full turns of a lug nut.If your wheel studs are too short, longer studs are always a solution. But, an easier option for wheels with conical seats would be to use ET Style lug nuts. These lug nuts have the same 60° conical seat plus a small 0.300" long shank that will fit into most aftermarket wheels. This equates to about 6 additional full turns of thread engagement, which will usually allow for safe installation of the wheels.
