Details: This retainer attaches behind the alternator post lead. The retainer is commonly missing with rebuilds, or a generic washer was used. This has the clip end to accept the cap. Each retainer is color coded the same as the cap; the way GM did. We offer it in the factory colors - red with red retainer, or black with black retainer. This is a nice detail item for your restoration. These parts are injection molded plastic, the same way GM made them. Alternator not included.
